Dr. Sriram R is a dedicated oncology specialist with a strong academic background in cancer care and research. He completed his MBBS from Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute, Chengalpattu, graduating with distinctions in multiple subjects. He later pursued DNB in Radiation Oncology at Regional Cancer Centre, Kamala Nehru Memorial Hospital, Prayagraj, and subsequently completed DrNB in Medical Oncology at MVR Cancer Center and Research Institute, Calicut. Dr. Sriram has been actively involved in oncology research and academic presentations, earning multiple awards at national and state-level conferences for his poster presentations and research work in cancer treatment outcomes and immunotherapy studies.

  1. Secured first place in a poster presentation for the research paper titled, “Outcomes and Toxicities of High Dose Melphalan Based Therapy in Multiple Myeloma Patients Post Autologous Transplantation Treated in a Tertiary Cancer Centre,” at the Association of Medical and Pediatric Oncologists of Kerala State Conference – 2024, Ernakulam.
  2. Secured fourth position in RECAP 2025 – a national-level gold medal examination for final-year postgraduates held at RCC Trivandrum in November 2025.
  3. Secured second place in a poster presentation for the research paper titled, “Efficacy and Toxicities of Ramucirumab (Anti-VEGF2 Inhibitor) in Second Line Treatment of Metastatic Gastric Cancer Patients,” at the Apollo Cancer Conclave, Mumbai, October 2024.
  4. Secured second place in the State Level Oncology Quiz Competition, “Onco Talks 2024,” Calicut – November 2024.
  5. Secured third place in a poster presentation for the research paper titled, “Chemo-Immunotherapy Based Salvage Followed by Allogenic HCT Showing Improved Survival for Relapsed Refractory B-ALL: A Single Center Experience.”
  6. A research paper on “5-Year Outcomes of High Dose Melphalan Based HDCT and ASCT in Multiple Myeloma” was selected for presentation at ISBMT 2025, St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore.
  7. Secured third place in the quiz competition conducted as part of MVR CANCON – 2024, Calicut (August 2024).
  8. Secured second place in the group discussion competition on “Hypofractionated Radiotherapy in Non-Metastatic Breast Cancer” at AROICON 2022, New Delhi.
  9. Attended contouring workshops in thoracic and head & neck malignancies at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Medical College, Bareilly, in August 2020 and March 2021.

Research Projects:

  • Participated in the ICMR Short Term Studentship (STS) during the 2014–2015 session.
  • The study, “Study of Pattern of Change in Handwriting Class Characters with Different Grades of Myopia” (Subject: Ophthalmology), was accepted by ICMR.
